The purpose of this Blog is for me to explain my Student Ministry model in more detail. The initial paper on the model can be found at http://www.emerginglandscape.org/. I do not expect a large amount of traffic to the site or the blog but hope to use both to complile training material for my own volunteers, students and parents.
Communication is very important in ministry and if I can communicte in an understandable fashion what the model is and how it works in the real world I will be that much closer to creating a ministry that works the way the model suggests. So each blog entry will deal with one aspect with the goal of instructing someone in how it would work in the real world.
So if these pages are discovered by other youth workers at other ministries and they find them helpful then I am twice blessed so to speak. If anyone does find this blog I do hope they feel free to leave comments. I would welcome the input otherwise this will be just one man's ramblings and one man is rarely 100% correct.
So maybe somen will join me as I set out on this journey of exploring the landscape that I hope is a good description of how to do student ministry in the 21st Century.
